Is your body filled with toxic waste?

You are what you eat - You are also what you eat, eats.
Eat organic, pastured, raw, local food whenever possible and know what your animals consume if you choose to eat them.  If your beef eats corn, candy, manure and dead chickens, guess what you are eating?  Yup! corn, candy, manure and dead chickens!  If they are pumped up with antibiotics and hormones, those too are part of the meat.

Grain Free Pancake Recipe

In my quest to be grain free I stumbled upon a few almond butter recipes.  I didn't have almond butter on hand, but I did have Almond paste.  Here is my tweeked recipe for Banana Almond pancakes.  Enjoy

Banana Almond Meal Pancakes
Ingredients:
1 banana
3/4 cup almond paste(soaked almonds put in blender and made to paste) or 1/2 cup almond butter
1 duck egg-or 2 pastured chicken eggs
1 tsp each baking soda/powder
2 Tbls each Flax meal and Tapioca flour(grind tapioca pearls in coffee grinder until fine powder)
1/2 tsp each salt and vanilla

Directions:
Mash banana, add almond paste and egg.  Mix well.  Add remaining ingredients and combine.  Heat griddle to 325.  Add coconut oil and cook on griddle until brown on both sides.  Griddle can get hot, so make sure to lower temp and watch pancakes.  Serve with strawberries and Grade B maple syrup.  Makes 12 dollar size pancakes.

Do you research your food?

Why do we research everything we want to buy, except food?

It really gets to me that most Americans will do all sorts of research when looking to buy new things.  For example: cars, health insurance, appliances, an electrician, a plumber, a new house, you get the idea.  They will do test drives, read reviews, call references and ask questions, lots of questions.  Here is my question.  Why don't most Americans research food?  Food, the one thing that is essential for nourishing and healing our bodies, most Americans don't do any research.  They don’t ask questions or investigate what it is that they are consuming?  Why have we become so dependent on the food companies to tell us what is 'healthy',  what is good to eat, or more frequently what we are supposed to eat?
