Calories...they are GOOD for you!

When did calories become so daunting?  Calories are a GREAT thing, you should not be afraid of them nor “restrict” them.  Calories equal energy and homeostasis (balance in the body) Given the correct foods, your body, brain and all its organs will NOT have any problems......Given the wrong ones, or restricting calories, gives your body excess stress which causes things like headaches, eczema, Gastrointestinal issues(constipation, bloating, excess gas, diarrhea...) GOUT, depression, muscle cramps and spasms, dry scalp, memory loss or complete dementia, liver failure, low testosterone or no testosterone, thyroid dysfunction, diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure......You get the picture.  Do you suffer from one or more of these problems? I know almost every American adults and child who eat the SAD(Standard American Diet) does.
Calories are VITAL for life and energy and HEALTH.  You need to eat REAL food, like pastured meats, eggs and milk and butter, organic fruits and veggies when possible and   sprouted and fermented grains.  Your ancestors did not count calories or worry about a few stinking pounds, they ate real food, worked hard and lived healthy lives!

It is a new year, don’t fall into a marketing advertisement for some weight loss program or supplement.  Just move your body, drink water, and eat real food like our ancestors did!  I PROMISE you will become much healthier.  If you EAT REAL FOOD, NEVER will you have you to count calories, who has time for that anyway?.....I certainly don’t.  I’ll eat my pastured butter, beef, pork, chicken and drink my whole fat milk and eat a lot of fresh LOCAL SEASONAL Veggies and fruit and our family is healthy!  Will you join me  in 2013?
